Under the Influence of Essential Oils

I want to share a little bit about how essential oils have become a big part of my daily routine. It started almost three years ago when I realized I could use lavender oil on my face to dry up a blemish. I fell in love with the idea that I could use an all natural, lovely smelling home remedy for something that I would normally use a harsh chemical for. The decision to switch to natural seemed like a no brainer, especially since the lavender oil was so effective. I looked into other oils and their uses and my relationship with doTerra emerged. My go to oils are currently lavender, peppermint, tea tree, eucalyptus and wild orange. All of these essential oils can be defused for aromatherapy but they also have other uses as well. Therapeutic grade essential oils can be benefited from when used topically.

I use Lavender: topically on blemishes, in an after sun mixture (Lavender, Eucalyptus, Vitamin E and water), as a sleep aid by putting a few drops on the palms of my hands

I use Peppermint: topically for headaches, under my nose for antibacterial purposes, to soothe nerve pain and oil pulling (rinse your mouth with fractionated coconut oil (FCO), peppermint and lemon)

I use Tea Tree: topically to soothe eczema with Vitamin E, on a wash cloth for face and body, as a yoga mat cleaner (Tea Tree, Eucalyptus and water), bug repellent (Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Lemongrass, Rosemary and FCO- Also try doTerra TerraShield) and on scrapes and razor burn

I use Eucalyptus: as a yoga mat cleaner (Tea Tree, Eucalyptus and water), bug repellent (Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Lemongrass, Rosemary and FCO- Also try doTerra TerraShield), and on/under nails for nail health

I use Wild Orange: to manage anxiety and uplift my mood just by smelling it or putting a few drops on my skin where I can smell it. I keep this oil in my bag and with me at all times!

Doterra has proprietary blends of EO's but I find that I keep going back to my 5 basic oils and mix them as I need them. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about any of these essential oils. I'll share some more EO recipes soon.

Love, Vick
