This blog and my intentions for it have changed and evolved many times over the past few years. While working as a full time Paralegal I really appreciated my time spent on the side as a Personal Trainer and private fitness instructor. After sitting in a chair all day behind a computer, I enjoyed the vast contrast and just getting to move. I danced for 19 years with training by various professionals including professional instruction at Fiorello H. LaGuardia H.S. of Music & Art and Performing Arts. Dance has been and still is an important outlet to me for creative expressive, exercise and recreation. I was a dance teacher for 6 years and worked with children from 3 to 13 years old but, over the past 4 years I have made the transition from children's dance to adult fitness. I am currently a Certified Personal Trainer (AFAA) and Pilates Instructor and formerly a certified Zumba Instructor. I originally started a blog as a continuation of what was being discussed with my clients and to provide a place for them to share their ideas and thoughts on their fitness/ wellness journey. Then, after I experienced a life altering event in November of 2016, I decided to pursue my blog more in hopes that it would propel me in the direction of something more fulfilling and purposeful. I left the law firm I worked for and freed myself to put my focus on private sessions and blogging. This is thanks to my husband for giving me time, freedom and support. Like my blog, I too am constantly evolving and growing, all hopefully in the right direction. I hope that my blog can be an inspiration in some way for women everywhere [to Love Pilates Fitness and Fashion].
